Every problem in mathematics requires one thing "understanding". If you understand the rudiments of mathematical principles, the solutions to maths problems are not far fetched.
Topics like Sets and Venn diagrams, Bearing, Arithmetic and Geometric progression and a host of others are based on set principles, formulas and ability to understand the question. These simples rules once mastered and adhered to, makes mathematics the simplest of all subjects.
My method of teaching maths is aimed at making students versatile in the subject.
I ensure students are exposed to NECO, NABTEB, WAEC and JAMB standard questions after going through the rudiments of each topic treated. This approach has paid off over the years because, students are prepared to tackle any question irrespective of how twisted and complex the question appears in exam situations.
In a nut shell, I produce 'A' and 'B' mathematics students.
Provision of the student with necessary items is a great concern for the tutor. Students are expected to have text book(s) (Hidden Facts in Mathematics is great), scientific calculator and other writing materials. Remarkable improvement from the student is my assurance to my clients.
