I cannot talk about my qualifications in English Language without mentioning these key points;
1. As a secondary school student, I made B2 in the subject as an SS2 student in the General Certificate Examination (GCE). I later went on to make the same grade in WAEC in SS3.
2. I made 'A' grades in the subject twice during the first two semesters I offered it as an undergraduate.
3. I have written and excelled in IELTS (International English Language Testing System, with B2 and C1 levels in the four sections).
4. I have taught secondary school and undergraduate students in the subject since my days as a freshman in the university.

Outside my personal conquests, over the years, more than 80% of my undergraduate students has went on to make 'A' and 'B' grades in the subject in the university. It is also pertinent to add that they don't just pass this subject, they become competent users of it. My WAEC and JAMB candidates are not left out. I have recorded 0% failure rate so far!

My teaching methods are quite simple. I use lots of examples to teach my students. I start by teaching and making reference to various examples in text and in real life conversations. Then, I introduce short quizzes to access the students level of comprehension. This cycle is repeated until the desired result is achieved. To add, I make sure the student is very conversant with a particular topic before I move on to the next.

In addition to having a peaceful and quiet setting for my tutorial classes, the student is expected to have note book, pen and other writing materials. Any good text book in English Language for the student's personal studies is also pivotal.

To conclude, irrespective of the student's initial background in the subject, he/she will become as close as possible to native users of English at the end of my sessions.
