I am a patient and results-focused Basic Mathematics tutor with a strong ability to make mathematical concepts simple, engaging, and easy for young learners to understand. I have experience teaching across American, British, and Alberta Curricula, giving me a broad understanding of different learning objectives, standards, and approaches to Mathematics. My expertise covers number sense, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, measurement, geometry, word problems, and mathematical reasoning. My goal is not only to help students arrive at the correct answers but to ensure they understand the concepts and develop the confidence to tackle mathematical questions independently.

I understand that every child learns differently, and young learners often perform best when lessons are structured, interactive, and engaging. I create a positive learning environment where students remain focused while actively participating in their lessons. Through clear explanations, practical examples, guided practice, educational activities, and appropriate challenges, I keep learners engaged and encourage them to channel their energy positively into learning. I am patient and firm when necessary, maintaining a healthy balance between warmth, structure, and effective classroom management while ensuring that learning objectives are achieved.

I use regular practice, assessments, feedback, and targeted revision to identify learning gaps and monitor progress.
