More than 6 years experience
As a Phonics teacher with about six years of classroom experience, I have mastered sounds(Vowels and Consonants)and it's classifications.
As a Phonic teacher, it is compulsory for me to have an excellent Diction as my pupils will learn mostly by imitating my speech. Hence, I have been able to teach my pupils to master sounds by encouraging them to pronounce correctly and blend sounds to produce as many words as possible daily.
Most of my pupils are no longer scared of the Phonics aspect of English as they can:
1)Identify and correctly pronounce individual sounds.
ii)Classify the sounds into: Vowels and Consonants or into Monothongs, Diphthongs,
iii)Correctly blend sounds to produce words that aid their spellings and writing.

English Grammar, Spoken English, Social Studies, Literacy & Numeracy, Literature in English, English LanguageLevels taught: Nursery, Primary, Jss, Sss, Undergraduate and Adult

In the British curriculum, students are taught to learn by questioning, problem-solving and creative thinking rather than by the mere retention of facts,which the Nigerian's Curriculum specialises on.
