My name is Ogbu Emmanuel, a graduate with a B.A in English from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University. I have been teaching the English language for over five years even before my admission to the school and as an undergraduate in tutorials. These five years have seen me cut across all branches of the language and also teach all manner of students ranging from primary to undergraduate.

I have developed various teaching methods such as lecture method, discussion/interactive method to tackle difficult areas in Literature such as the genres of literature; poem, drama and prose, their elements and respective types, understanding figures of speech and how they are used to set questions in exam halls, narrative methods such as the first person and omniscience technique, tone, rhyme, and many other literature related areas.

Also, these five years have seen me interact with various educational curriculum to include the Nigerian Curriculum, British Curriculum, and American Curriculum.

During these five years, I have prepared students for entrance and terminal examinations such as the Common Entrance, JSSCE, WAEC, NECO, GCE, UTME, POST UTME, TOEFL, and SAT. Some of them are now abroad furthering their education and the majority are here in Nigerian universities.

I am confident that if you would employ me for your tutorial, your journey to excellence in Literature in the English Language is already certain. Just provide the recommended text, a good classroom environment, and a whiteboard marker and it will be like a miracle.

I used the Nigerian curriculum to prepare pupils and students for both common entrance and WAEC,NECO, GCE,UTME and P.UTME. I used the American Curriculum to prepare students for SAT and TOEFL and currently, I am using the British curriculum to prepare a student for Cambridge Entrance Test.

When you book lessons, Emmanuel will usually travel anywhere at most 5km (~ 30mins drive ) from Lekki to deliver lessons.
