The English language is one of the basic requirements in Nigeria, not just as a means of communication but for international relations.

My journey to teaching the English language was driven by passion. After being dissatisfied with the national proficiency, I had to opt for international certification. I started taking the British Council IELTS training which is organized by Cambridge. The detailed training broadened my knowledge on the subject and this culminated in my making a band 8.0 in the academic type of the IELTS. My quest has not ended as I constantly seek deliberate ways to improve myself.

I started teaching the English language from the very elementary level for primary pupils, with consistent progress I have progressed to teaching the very Cambridge English and have so far taught about five students directly each making outstanding results. Worthy of note is that I have also mentored some students online.

I rely on exploring the student's ability, checking their weaknesses then adopting a flexible teaching style that suits the student. I accommodate mistakes and encourage students that they can constantly improve to any level. My goal is always to produce students who will be more proficient than I am. I give the student opportunity to think, share ideas and then I point out errors where required.
