Teaching Kindergarten & Nursery is different from teaching adolescents or adults because children require a certain level of creativity and excitement in order for them to learn and enjoy learning. As a Kindergarten teacher, I have always included fun activities that will help the children retain what is being taught and make sure they did so in a fun and memorable way.

I start off with a recap activity to go over the previous lesson. Then I introduce new learning material and repeat said material in various different forms (listening, writing, speaking activities), then we close off with a recap game, going over all we learnt last lesson as well as this lesson.

Having had the experience of teaching children from various countries (US, Tunisia, Vietnam), the one thing I have learned that cuts across cultures and nations is that the most important thing is being able to capture and retain the attention of a kindergartner or nursery child. Understanding that they have very short attention spans and require a lot of patience and guidance, a teacher has to make sure they are well prepared for a lesson with lots of activities.

When you book lessons, Elizabeth will usually travel anywhere at most 5km (~ 30mins drive ) from Jabi to deliver lessons.
