As an early years instructor poems and rhymes are what I use to drive the lesson to the pupils. I have discovered in my teaching that puipls never forget what he or she has learnt.

Pupils have taught in the past were able to count orally and identify numbers using rhymes. Also, they were able to use rhymes in learning the multiplication table.

Moreso, in the area of Literacy poems and rhymes, can be used to learn letter sounds, two and three-letter words.
