Teaching chemistry, with a degree in Industrial chemistry, for upwards of nine years has strengthened the concepts and also widened my view of the subject. It has given me the much needed exposure to a vast array of candidates. I may almost say there is hardly a type of pupil I have not encountered at WASSCE, UTME, CHECKPOINT, IGCSE and AS/A2 level.
To succeed, I have had to format my classes to highly interactive sessions tailored at exposing exam frailties that commonly confront students. A thorough knowledge of the exam specifications and requirements, coupled with compliance with the required textbooks and approach has been critical to their high success rate.
