A survey shows that students often fail math because they develop a phobia for it. But the truth remains that these students never believe they can make it. To this note, I make sure the student develops a lot of self-confidence, and self-worth to pass, not only pass but pass with flying colors.
I encourage my student to first be relaxed, have a conducive environment that enables quality teaching and learning process. All teaching and learning materials should be made available. I create an environment where my students don't see maths as a terror instead of something they can overcome just like chewing breakfast cereals.
Lastly, I reward students where improvement and hardworking is been noticed. I love working with kids not because they are our future leaders, but they have a lot of potentials waiting to be harnessed.
