Having studied English Language and currently a grade 1-4 tutor and class teacher, I have developed great interest in teaching and taking my learners through literacy and numeracy.

I started with step by step giving them letters and they build words with them, which they are able to pronounce and spell correctly..

I implemented the word building method which has to do with writing the letters on flash cards and asking the children to arrange and form a word. I also include videos to help them understand better. Doing this helps them read the words easily and spell them.
For numeracy, hands on activities were implemented, I ensured the learners engaged in group activities to ensure excellence.

My method of teaching is constant practice and practice and play way method (that is, the learner learns while they play) till they develop automaticity and fluency.
