My love for teaching and learning inspired me to get a degree in Education/English. Determined to teach with best practices and knowledge, I obtained a Post Graduate degree in Education (Merit) from the prestigious University of Nottingham. I taught in one of the leading British/Nigerian Curriculum based schools for five years, and currently function as a Lead Teacher in a Home School.
Teaching with flexibility and great adaptability to learner's preferred learning style is my admired strategy. Having worked with different children and levels in Primary school, I am well exposed to different methods of stimulating and sustaining pupils' attention. In addition, using manipulatives, hands on activities as well as technology to ensure pupils are well engaged, and having lessons that are challenging but not overwhelming is a strategy I employ which produces visible results.
I enjoy teaching English Language and Numeracy in Primary level. To ensure pupils gain mastery of English language and Maths, I have attended Oxford Reading training, British Council training on 21st Century skills, to mention a few. I also enjoy Reading, Creative Writing and music. I look forward to hearing from you. Chiamaka also works with children preparing for entrance exams into colleges like Loyola Jesuit and schools which adopt the British Curriculum.

The British Curriculum emphasizes application of knowledge and creativity. Three core areas are Literacy, Numeracy and Science. Literacy comprises Comprehension, Creative Writing and Grammar. Pupils are levelled based on achievements and ability. Levels are from 1 (lowest for Primary) to 6.

When you book lessons, Chiamaka will usually travel anywhere at most 5km (~ 30mins drive ) from Lagos to deliver lessons.
