Literacy and Numeracy are both crucial learning areas for children, which is why I ensure my classes are engaging and enjoyable.

I have a good knowledge of the parts and figures of speech. I help students build a language rich foundation of phonological, spelling, comprehending and expressing skills. I introduce a new word or phrase to student weekly to help them build their vocabulary. I help to fine-tune their writing by giving them tracing worksheets and other fine motor skill activities. I help stimulate listening and narrative competence in children by reading or getting them to read books daily or weekly.

Number recognition, counting forward and backward, skip counting, color, shapes, quantifying, patterns, addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication will be taught to students using a hands-on approach.

I provide personalized and interesting teaching method in my classes. I observe the children in order to know if it is the visual or audio or kinesthetic learning style they favor or all. After observing the children, I incorporate each child's learning style in my lesson plan and I have seen great improvement in their academic performances.

I am an enthusiastic and creative early years foundation teacher. I believe every child is unique and have their learning style. I establish a conducive learning environment and warm relationship for the student. I value my students’ efforts, give them (child) feedback on their progress and create a reward chart for motivation.

I encourage discussions and questions about what they do not understand.

Using the British curriculum(Early Year Foundation Stages) has given me the opportunity to work with young children knowing that every child is unique and learn in different ways. Children get distracted easily so i make teaching each class of the learning area, fun and engaging.
