Public Speaking is an art, a craft that can be taught and learnt. Its is basically passing across a clear message to an audience, be it large or small. As Gerald R. Ford said, Nothing in life is more important that the ability to communicate effectively. I got involved in public speaking quite early in life due to my exposure to leadership positions. Some call me a natural, but I know how my history and I definitely know I learnt the art, and mastered it.

As a Public Speaker, one must note that the first principle of the art is "a person is only as effective as his communication". There are different types of public speaking and for different types of occasions, however the aim is the same. The aim is always to communicate a message effectively.

For a speech to be communicated effectively, one must understand these enough to practice; pronunciation, articulation, projection, inflection and audience engagement. This can be taught and fully understood by anybody. However one key thing that is missing in many public speeches is Persuasion. Persuasion puts the seal on your public speaking, it makes what you are saying believable to your audience.

My method of teaching public speaking is this; I assist the students reach into their deepest recesses to help them have a better view of their true personality and style of communication. Having done that, I teach the theory of the art. Because I have earlier disclosed the student's innate abilities to him or her, understanding the theory would become very easy. The student's mind would approach the information as something more relational, rather than far and distant.

Public speaking is exciting, its like taking people on a journey where you are the pilot and you alone know the destination! Your audience should enjoy the trip as much as you do. With my my rich experience, I can help you be the perfect pilot; a excellent orator.
