Proofreading and editing are essential in the corporate world, as every write-up must show a high level of excellence before any approval. A good understanding on Use of English is compulsory to produce excellent write-ups. Punctuations, spellings, sentence formations and paragraphing are some of the essential elements in proofreading and editing.

I have helped a handful of students put together wonderful write-ups on different platforms; whether in letter writing seeking funds from a corporate firm, or in preparing an appealing CV, or in their project write-ups. I not only help them but teach them enough to help others.

My method of teaching proofreading and editing is basically to first understand the students approach to writing and correct what needs to be corrected. Having done that, I go through examples with the students on different topics, allowing their minds to be creative and determine what outline every individual topic should have in order of priority. We go on the correcting tenses, terminologies, and so on.
