I am very passionate about basic mathematics. As a good mathematics teacher, I can demystify mathematical concepts and foster a growth mindset in the students, making math accessible and engaging for all my students. As a maths teacher, I try as much as possible to create a classroom culture where students feel comfortable discussing their problem-solving strategies, which helps deepen their conceptual understanding. I recognise that students have different learning styles and abilities, and I try to tailor my methods of teaching. This includes tiered assignments, flexible grouping, and using a variety of formats.
