Zoology

I possess a Bachelors Honors degree in Zoology with a Second class upper degree. Zoology is the study of animals in their environment. Classification of animals is key to animal identifications. On a broad base, classification of animals ranges from kingdom, phylum, class, order, families, genus( which always starts with a capital letter and underlined or italicized ) and species name written in small letter and also underlined or italicized where applicable. Each categories of classification of animals could also include a sub category.
The environment support the life of an organism while also influencing their lifestyles depending on the adaptive mechanism the animal has adopted. Abiotic factors such as rainfall, temperature, PH and other climatic factors also play a key role to animal survival . Also biotic factor such as interaction with other living organisms in the environment is also a determining factor to animal survival.
The method of teaching i have adopted over the years from personal experience is the use of acronyms as a guide to remember each species scientific names and lifestyles.
