My past experience with students has made me to conclude that no child is born to be a dullard but all they needed is guidance and encouragement.
The first thing i do is to create a conducive environment that will accommodate a cordial and discipline lesson period control and create an impressions that quantitative techniques is simple and easy to understand. with this fear for quantitative difficulties will be minimize and the motivation to learn will be high with aim that is simple.
Then i get my student to be conversant with their multiplication table as it will enhance easy learning of the subject and make sure that for every chapter of quantitative techniques I practice with my student a class work as well as assignments.
I never assume my student should understand a particular topic or a calculation because it is of a negative action of a tutor to always assume a student understand a topic when his or her knowledge has not been tested over it
