I am an experienced SSAT and PSAT tutor committed to helping students build the knowledge, reasoning skills, and confidence needed to approach competitive standardised tests successfully. Having experience preparing students for both the SSAT and PSAT, I understand that strong performance requires more than content knowledge. Students also need to know how to interpret questions, apply concepts under pressure, manage their time effectively, and make strategic decisions during the exam.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s current ability, target score, and specific areas for improvement. I combine focused content review with targeted skill development, guided practice, timed exercises, and regular practice tests to help students build both accuracy and speed. I also analyse performance carefully to identify recurring mistakes and learning gaps, allowing each lesson to address areas that will contribute meaningfully to the student’s progress.

For the SSAT, I support students across the Quantitative, Verbal, and Reading sections, developing mathematical reasoning, vocabulary, analogies, comprehension, inference, context clues, and critical-thinking skills. For the PSAT, I focus on the key skills required across Reading and Writing and Math, including comprehension, analysis, grammar and language conventions, problem-solving, algebra, data analysis, and effective application of mathematical concepts.

Beyond academic preparation, I teach students practical test-taking strategies such as identifying question patterns, eliminating unlikely answers, managing time across sections, recognising common traps, and approaching challenging questions systematically. I encourage students to understand why an answer is correct rather than simply memorising solutions, helping them become more independent and strategic test-takers.

I monitor progress through regular assessments and practice-test reviews, using performance data to refine the learning plan and focus on areas requiring the most attention. My goal is to help each student make measurable progress, strengthen their academic foundation, and develop the confidence and exam strategies needed to perform at their best on test day.
