Basic Mathematics

I,Adeloye,Adewunmi Omolayo graduated from the University of Lagos, Akoka,Yaba,Lagos where I studied Mathematics/Statistics. Before I went for service,I taught Mathematics at the junior level.(J.S.S1-J.S.S.3). The students understood the topic very well & their results were very impressive. I also Mathematics during N.Y.S.C(National Youth Service Course). I also taught J.S.S1- J.S.S.3.
Basic mathematics is a subject that deals with numbers. It is a subject that needs deep attention and less distraction.
We apply mathematics to our everyday life. Most learners have a phobia for mathematics because it is brainstorming.
After service,I tutored some students and they all passed excellently well before I got a job as a Mathematics teacher. My students are doing very well. I also tutored a lady Mathematics and she got B+ in W.A.E.C.
When teaching Mathematics,you have to make your class lively to reduce the tension in the students. You also have to know your students very well. This helps to make the teacher know if they are getting it or not by their actions.
When teaching a topic, you introduced the topic by referring to what they have been taught before. This will aroused their interest. Then you teach the topic in steps making sure that your students understand each step. Make room for questions for better understanding. Assessed them either oral or written. Mark it if it is oral and encourage your students that they can do better.
I'll be needing a textbook preferable the one that they are using in class so as to be ahead in class. I will also be needing writing materials like biro,pencil and eraser. Most especially,I need the students' co-operation. Thank you.

I have taught some grade school students(private teaching) using the British Curriculum.I taught them Mathematics, Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning.I noticed that the British curriculum is more brainstorming than the Nigerian curriculum.

When you book lessons, Adewunmi will usually travel anywhere at most 5km (~ 30mins drive ) from Shomolu to deliver lessons.
