As Science Teacher, I have an extensive hands-on experience teaching and engaging students in both laboratory and alternative to practicals in chemistry

I've been preparing students for examinations such as post-UTME, UTME, WASSC and NECO exams, for several years

As soon as I joined Duché Science Academy​, Ikorodu (in 2016), I was able to improve the test scores of my chemistry students by 25% within 3 school terms. And the students had brilliant results​ in that year's WASSCE, with C4 as the least grade

Thanks to the strategies I employed as
i). I often start off my class slowly, since some of the students have varying degrees of reception
ii). I engage students in the process of thinking, questioning, and problem solving despite their​ large class size.
iii). I strive to understand my students one by one while lesson is going on in order to assess their understanding at frequent intervals throughout the learning process.
iv). I promote student discussion and group activities.
v). I create a challenging and competitive atmosphere and set a high standard for them. For instance, At one time, I challenged them to deduce a technique to re-boil lukewarm water using only cold water.
vi). Most times, I show the students computer files or video from YOUTUBE. The students react well to this multimedia approach effectively and this also help in making complex concept/calculations look easy-peasy.

In all, rather than blending different approaches together in teaching chemistry, I studied my students keenly in order to determine which approach works best and then direct my effort towards bringing out that EINSTEINs in them
