We are all required to be numerate to maximize our potentials. Being numerate is to confidently and effectively use mathematics to meet the everyday demands of life. Literacy is basically the ability to read, write, speak and listen in such a way that allows effective communication to a variety of different audience in the most appropriate manner. hence, numeracy and literacy are critical components to ensure all students have the best chance to succeed in their studies and everyday life.

As a tutor and with my experience over the years, I have developed a teaching sequence that integrates both literacy and numeracy strategies, with activities chosen to relate to the immediate environment familiar to students. This is an effective way to engage students and support the development of literacy and numeracy skills. This approach has been highly effective and has produced outstanding results even in slow learners. I access my students periodically and provide feedback to the parent.
