Further Mathematics

I love Further Mathematics because it's more interesting than General Mathematics. I have been teaching it for over 4 years now.

The first set of students I prepared for WASSCE all had credits. Some would have had distinctions but I taught them for just a year; their foundation had been poor.

Currently, I teach Further Mathematics and Physics because they complement each other a lot and because I studied engineering. When I teach, I relate to physical occurrences so that the subject doesn't look as abstract as most see it.

I use a lot of textbooks but my favorite is New Further Maths by T. R. Moses, Further Maths Project, Additional Mathematics for West Africa and Pure Mathematics by Bunday and Mulholland; my student must have, at least, one of the first two.

Honestly, it's an honor to teach Further Mathematics.
