I have a Bsc degree in Geography from the prestigious University of Ibadan. I I've instil love of this subject in many youngsters and here are my observations while on the field. Over the years, I noticed many of my students had phobia for this great subject and that is where I do start my work. Many despise it due to its wide nature. They know not that is why it is been referred to as a subject of endless opportunities. The inability of parents to introduce this subject to children at early age as obtainable abroad played a major role. Unfortunately, government is not helping the situation as they now make this important subject voluntary for students in external exams. Anyways all these factors have in turn contributed in making Geography as a subject 'hot cake'. The fewer the supply of Geography experts, the valuable they are. Lastly, aside from the fact that we all need knowledge of Geography, no nation can thrive without Geography.
